I didn't make any changes from the official packages of Mono and the official packages have no patches. Please discuss your issue on the mono mailing list or forums http://www.go-mono.com/forums/.

LiveCD produces unable to compile resgen2 to .resource from file system that compiled in Mandriva 2009 using mono-2.0.1-2mdv2009.1.i586.rpm.

I replaced the Mandriva 2.0 executable and the lib/mono with the directory and files on the CD. It gets further, about 208 "resx" files, than it did on the LiveCD, but still fails with the same error

Thanks for the info... I noticed the fact the ISO got updated a few times, but had no idea what the update was (but I could guess for the first debugger update, from what I saw on a forum thread). That made me waste a second CD burning a newer version while I didn't need it, as I thought maybe there were actual Mono bugs fixed, but no biggie.
Maybe there should be a "What's New" doc/link next to the ISO, or something.
