And how would you find that documentation? There is a link on the desktop called “Start Here” which takes you to the documentation, which has the root password reasonably clearly stated. I do not know how to make it any more accessible than that.

It might be a good idea to document the installation password for the live cd install someplace. Or just don’t have one (does it serve some purpose other than frustrating potential users?).

Pick up the Mono 2.4 LiveCD and use the live installer (shortcut is on the Desktop). IIRC 2.4 is the first release where we’ve included that and a least one user has reported using it successfully.

Turns out the LiveCD was missing the mono-debugger. If you need the debugger you could download (please use the torrent) the new image. Links in this post have been updated accordingly.

Have you tried “mono” as the root password?
